Aside from the dubious title of being THE LARGEST MUNICIPALITY IN US HISTORY TO GO BANKRUPT, it also shares the title of SCREW THE PEOPLE-FULL SPEED AHEAD.
County Commissioner Jimmy Somebody is quoted as saying "Doomsday is coming to Jefferson County" and said in essence the shit will hit the fan in about 3 weeks. Layoffs, Department shutdowns will destroy this County from the inside.
So, what went wrong? Who cares? What does it all mean? Who knows? How will it impact YOU? Only God knows the answer to that one. But what I want to do here is play the role of The Devil's Advocate as far as the topic of local Survival goes.
